Popular anime characters have endured many trials and still have a long way to go. The Kamado family lived high up in the mountains and traded in charcoal. When Tanjiro's middle son went to the market in a nearby town, a hurricane suddenly hit. The boy had to stay there overnight and only got home in the morning.
